You can’t drive your car underwater (but you can ship it anywhere in the 48 contiguous states with Nationwide!)
Here are a couple videos dealing with the all-important topic of driving underwater. Have you ever heard of Rinspeed? According to Wikipedia,
Rinspeed is a Swiss automobile manufacturer and tuning designer. Rinspeed specialise in restoring classic cars, and tuning and modifying modern cars (like Porsches and Subarus). They also design exotic concept vehicles for the Geneva Motor Show each year. Rinspeed was founded in 1979 by Frank Rinderknecht.
Here Rinspeed has come up with a car that can drive–or at least propel itself–underwater. Note that the driver–dressed up like James Bond, it would appear–and his passenger–dressed up like a Bond girl, it would appear–still require scuba gear to complete their journey.
I don’t know about these other dudes. They are driving some sort of truck underwater in the river. Apparently those inside the vehicle are simply holding their breath.
All I can say is,
DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!
Or in your local lagoon or river, for that matter. Cutting across bodies of water can seem like a shortcut, but usually your car will just sink to the bottom.
It’s the kind of shortcut that we at Nationwide never take. Instead, we transport your car by truck, pampering it all the way.
